Books as a reward. I love books. Looking at them. Touching them. Smelling them. Owning them. And, Oh Yes … reading them.
Today is the beginning of a long weekend for me so I’ll be spending a good part of the day indulging in one of my favourite pastimes, snuggled on the couch under a downy comforter with a strong cup of coffee.

‘millin in the mornin’ ~~ 40 min. @ 3.5 mph & 20 min. @ 3.6 mph

‘millin at night ~~ 30 min. @ 3.6 mph + 30 min. @ 3.7 mph

I’m pleased.

The Food: A lot of food but well within my calorie allowance for the day.

1st meal ~~ egg whites + mushrooms + spinach with TexMex spice + (3/4 cup almond milk + instant espresso x 2)

a favorite breakfast :)
2nd meal ~~ raspberries + big dollop yogurt cheese … *homemade*
3rd meal ~~ pork chop + asparagus + red pepper + dijon mustard
4th meal ~~ strawberries + 1/4 cup ricotta … I added vanilla, cocoa & splenda plus one coffee with almond milk
5th meal ~~ 2 high fiber tortillas + 3 T lemon dill hummus (for both) + baby cuke + baby romaine + red pepper + pickled hot pepper rings (I think that’s a band)
6th meal ~~ 1 high fiber tortilla + 1 boiled egg + 1 T light olive oil mayo + baby romaine + olives
It claims that there are 8 g of fiber, 2 g of fat, 5 g protein and only 50 calories per tortilla.
